Hood Scoop Information |
| Article: |
These are the part numbers and prices for the parts required to install an Isuzl Impulse RS hood scoop. Prices may well have changed since they were obtained. This is just a wag now.
scoop; air 8-94386-775-4 $34.16
grille; air 8-94386-776-3 $6.16
screw; spacer 0-74305-410-0 $1.52 (need 4 of them for a total of $6.08.)
spacer; air 8-97031-901-0 $1.92 (need 4 of them for a total of $7.68.
If you are planning on making a modification that is the first thing you should do...PLAN. Make a pattern of the scoop and lay it out on the hood to determine where you want to install it. The scoop is mounted on the hood with four bolts/nuts, AFTER cutti ng a hole for it to fit into. The scoop for the Isuzu Impulse RS, which this scoop is, does not fit perfectly on the Storm hood. The Storm hood is a very slight bit more rounded than the Impulse RS. Other than esthetics it will serve little purpose unless you have an after market filter mounted to take advantage of the scoop's ability to draw more air into the engine compartment. Also you will have to cut part of the hood strengthening supports to make it fit properly as the Storm hood was not designed fo r a scoop as the Impulse RS was.
