Boot Installation |
| Article: |
First go to a stationary store, Staples or the like, and get a container of small 3/4 inch binder clips. These are the kind that have a silver handle that you squeeze together to open and that the handles are removable.
Now remove the center console. Remove the rubber accordian that is supposed to be a shift boot. Then cut off the attachment points for the rubber boot (the little bumps).
Place the leather boot in the hole in whatever position you wish and start securing it with the clips.
Once it is in the position you want remove the handles and reinstall the console and your new shifter
knob [since the OEM one now will look like crap with an new leather boot]. |
