Title: Changing the Fog Lamps
Article: 1. Jack the front of the car up as high as possible and install jack stands. If jack stands are not available you could safely use ramps. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES work under the car without some support other than the jack!

2. Locate the fog lamp assemblies behind the bumper.

3. Grasp the wire retainer (not the wire on the lamp itself) and squeeze it slightly while pulling it to the rear. It kinda hinges out of the way.

4. At this point the lamp assembly (glass section with a metal base and a wire about four inches long) should be loose. Pull it out of the socket.

5. Locate the connector on the electric wire. It is a "snap" type male/female connector. Pull with a steady pressure till it separates. Grasping it near the metal connectors with the needle nose pliers at each end may help. Do not pull on the wire itself.

6. Install the new lamp assembly, in the reverse order of disassembly, being careful NOT TO TOUCH the lamp glass. To do so will leave oil from the fingers and cause a "hot spot" and premature failure. If you have cotton or latex gloves they would help avoid this problem. If you should touch it by accident, wash it clean with rubbing alcohol and then dry it with a soft cloth.

7. Check the operation PRIOR to letting the car off the jack stands.

8. Remove the stands, lower the car, and light up the world.
